Community Games u14 Draughts County Final“Congratulations to Louise O’Dea, Joseph O’Dea, George Bradley, Tyler Donegan and Enda Greene who won the Community Games u14 Draughts County Final last weekend. They now go forward to represent County Clare in the Munster Finals in March. Thanks to John Fitzgerald, Kilferagh who coached the team. To coincide with this, we will have a Church Gate Collection on Saturday night and Sunday the 27th and 28th March at Lisdeen and Kilkee. Your support is greatly appreciated. Youth CaféThe Youth Café takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday night from 8pm to 10 pm for youths 15 to 18 years. Volunteers needed especially young people over 25 years who would be interested in working with the youth. Training will be provided. Dóchas Nasamu Used Clothes CollectionDóchas Nasamu is a Irish registered charity, which funds the Dóchas Nasamu Orphanage for Children with aids in Ikumbi a small village outside Niarobi in Kenya. We are running a used clothing appeal of Ladies, Gents and Children's clothes, footwear, household linens i.e. towels, sheets, blankets etc. for the orphans and their extended families on Tuesday 2nd March between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm in the Church Car Park in Kilkee. A Public Meeting Fair Deal Nursing Home Support SchemeA Public Meeting will take place on Monday 8th March 2010 in the Kilrush Golf Club at 8.00 pm to discuss the Fair Deal Nursing Home Support Scheme. This Meeting will provide a Public Forum for you to come along and find out how the Nursing Home Support Scheme works, who qualifies and how it affects you and your family. Speakers will include a representative of the HSE, Citizens Information and a Local Solicitor. The Meeting is being organised by Deputy Pat Breen T.D. and everyone is cordially invited to attend.
